Invited by the City of Philadelphia, Mr. Anthony A. L. Adjasse, President of the AANCC, visited the State of Mississippi from March 3 to March 5, 2010.

The visit to Jackson, Mississippi State, started at the State Capital with the House of Representatives' Speaker, Honorable William Billy McCoy. Also, a business meeting attended by Honorable James A. Young Mayor of the City of Philadelphia, Honorable Tyrone Ellis, Majority Leader - Chairman Public Utility and Honorable Percy W. Watson - Chairman Ways and Means, was an occasion to explore the business partnership opportunities, available to both the State of Mississippi and the African Nations members of the AANCC, in terms of development and creation of new jobs.

The milestone of President Adjasse's visit was the meeting held with Honorable James A. Young and the Council members of the Fabulous City of Philadelphia, Mississippi. At the meeting, many multifaceted programs had been evocated to develop relationships with the African Nations, members of the AANCC. Programs such as exporting products and services from the City of Philadelphia to the African Nations, and importing the African products to the State of Mississippi had been put in motion to create new jobs. Also, the student exchange and the Sister City programs between the State of Mississippi and the African Nations, members of the AANCC are in the process to be implemented on both sides.

The visit ended with an important business decision made between le President Adjasse and the Philadelphia City Council members, led by the Mayor James A. Young, to organize two Seminars scheduled in the State of Mississippi on Wednesday, April 28 and Thursday, April 29, 2010. These Seminars will regroup the African Nation Embassies and the business community of Mississippi State. The first Seminar will be held with the Representatives of the State Capital in Jackson, Mississippi and the second one will regroup the business community of the City of Philadelphia and the Embassies of the African Nations members of the AANCC.
