TRIP TO THE REPUBLICS OF BENIN, TOGO & GHANA (WEST AFRICA) 

A PRELUDE TO THE AFRICA-AMERICA BUSINESS CONFERENCE 2012

Anthony A. L. Adjasse President / CEO of the AANCC, traveled to Cotonou, Republic of Benin (West Africa) July 8-28, 2010 to meet with the Governement Officials, in terms of conducting a series of discussions with them, to clear the way for their collaborative sponsorship. Many high level meetings took place to explore and overcome some of the difficult issues involved in the organization and the success of the conference. President Adjasse had met in total with eight Ministers and had gotten their participation and attendence.

A very fraternelly scheduled meeting at the pivate residency of the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Benin, was held between both Presidents to create a real framework that will lead to the success of the event.

The President of the Economic and Social Council and the President of the Emplyers Council of the Republic of Benin, are also very important allied supporters, willing to implement and to share the AANCC conference agenda with their respective organization members.

A visit to the Kingdom of Abomey was also inclusif to the President’s programs, to reconnect with the African traditional life and the cultural identity, with His Majesty King Agoli Agbo’s blessing ceremony held in his Palace.

During his travel, President Adjasse held a meeting at the Headquarters of the BAOD (West African Development Bank) in Lome, Republic of Togo. This meeting relative to a briefing on the Business Conference organized by the AANCC on July 17, 2009 in New York City to create a collaborative synergy between the BAOD and the EXIM BANK is intended to brief Mr. Abdoulaye Bio-Tchane, President of that important African financial institution, on the post conference evolution of the project.

By the same occasion in Lome, President Adjasse held a business conference and a networking event in collaboration with Adanbounou A. Kovi, Vice President / CEO of Covi-Trans Sarl and many Togolese Government Representatives, followed by a friendly refreshment.

The Republic of Ghana was President Adjasse’s last stop, where in collaboration with Victor A. Larbi, Director of Capital & Equity Trust Ltd and Representative of AANCC, he met with Government Officials and the Ghana Chamber of Commerce, followed by a business diner.

Above all, it was a wonderful business trip to Africa, in terms of preparing our next 2012 International & Regional
